CURRENTLY: september 2025
a monthly collection of my favorite things
READING: Genesis + The Cruel Prince by + I am about to start Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
WATCHING: Gilmore Girls (for the first time with my housemates) + Downton Abbey (as I crochet, though I’m not sure yet whether I will continue watching) + the MCU movies (for mostly the first time with my housemates)
WRITING: not much, but slowly dipping back into my main novel WIP
LISTENING: Dear Wormwood by The Oh Hellos (the whole album) + alternating between my summer playlists and my autumn playlists, depending on the days and their temperatures) + listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks as I crochet
CRAFTING: I finished the cardigan from last month and I have begun a new sweater! This is my first sweater pattern that I have truly followed, and so far it is turning out well. I hope to finish it by the end of the month.

MEMORIZING: Psalm 16 (I have not made much progress, but this month memorization will be a priority)
MISSING: waterfalls in Oregon
TRYING: to crochet a wearable item that actually fits properly
LEARNING: that sanctification looks different in different seasons
RESEARCHING: Joseph Campbell’s hero + myth
ANTICIPATING: a long weekend up visiting friends from my internship + celebrating birthdays!
DRINKING: pumpkin coconut chai!! I found some chai tea concentrate at Aldi + coconut milk + a splash of the NutPods dairy free pumpkin pie creamer is autumn perfection!
EATING: Wonderfully cooked meals from my housemates’ cooking rotation! My latest contribution was homemade Cava bowls with homemade tzatziki and hummus and feta dip.
LOVING: hosting freshmen girls for coffee + tea on sunday afternoons!
DISLIKING: the 80+ degree weather
STARTING: a resume
PONDERING: that God loves a desperate woman + meets us in our valleys of unbelief
HOPING: for beautiful things in the in-between spaces
FEELING: a bit burnt out, but eager for the Lord to meet me in the midst of my desperation
